I bought this because I read all the great reviews here.
I am very disapointed with it’s design.
once you pair the unit it connects to your phone, no problem there.
my problem is if you park your car in you garage and forget to turn the unit off . when you go in your house the unit stays paired with your phone, That means if you get a call you can’t hear to person calling you until you go out to the car and shut it off.
Also the way turn it on and off is pretty annoying, you have to press a spot in the back of the unit and hold it pressed for 3 seconds. really stupid. this thing has a battery in it so even if you plug it into your cigarette lighter that has no power when you turn your car off, the unit still stays on and connected to your phone.
If you are looking for a device that will pair to your phone when you start your car and dissconect to your phone when you turn your car off THIS IS NOT THE ONE !!!

Am I the only one! I really liked this device, and can even get past the fact that the charge cord has to hang in my face while driving just so I can recharge. And, the device works great for all my outgoing calls. But, when I receive an incoming call I hear an audible crackle sound, than I looked down at my radio and I had lost a line in my digital display. Since I thought this was merely coincidental, not caused the T505, I continued to use the device. Again, recently, same thing, call came in, crackle, lost another line in my display!
I have now taken my car to Audi, and I need to have the radio replaced! I called Motorola customer support, they said there is absolutely no way the T505 caused the problem with my radio. They offered no apologies, basically blaming my radio for shorting out on it’s own!
Well, I hope my loss is your gain, do not use this device in an Audi with a BOSE radio!!
I just opened this device and spent a half an hour trying to get it to work with my iphone. The speaker phone may work, but I don’t care. I really wanted a way to play the music from my phone in my car stereo without all of the wires. The device doesn’t have the ability to charge, except in the car. My car’s power isn’t hot with the key off, so I need to drive for five or so hours before it is fully charged (also loses the value of the no-cord benefit).
Suffice it to say that it doesn’t work with the iphone. Here’s a novel concept Motorola: Why don’t you put a list of the devices that it works with in the documentation or on your website? While you’re at it, maybe spend a whole hour writing the documentation so it is reasonable.
I ordered the T505 from Amazon and was VERY disappointed when I received it. It arrived in a ziploc bag packaged in an manilla envelope with a note saying how bulk packaging allows the seller (DLN Enterprises) to sell such items so cheaply. Given how it was packaged I think it is pretty obvious that it is REFURBISHED, and nowhere in this product description on Amazon did it mention “bulk packaging”. Not only did it arrive in a ziploc type bag and no Motorola box, but it also was missing the owners manual, so I have NO idea how to operate the stupid thing. GRRR! I’ve had it in my car for over 2 months now and have only used it once (and the sound wasn’t very good) and now I can’t figure out how to tell if its on, how to make an outgoing phone call, or even answer an incoming phone call now. It sure would be nice if it arrived with a darn owners manual!! So if you want this blue tooth device I would advise buying it somewhere other than Amazon (and spending a little more money), because it will arrive from some lame company called DLN Enterprises in a ziploc bag.
This was a complete waste. I spent months reading numerous reviews on bluetooth speakerphones and concluded that this was the best. Well, if this was the best I’d hate to see the others. The sound quality was poor. Extemely low, and filled with static. I didn’t even bother to try the other features. My thought is that if it couldn’t do the speaker phone aspect correctly the rest was useless. What a dud. You just can’t trust those positive reviews.
